From a creator sheet to placed Shopify orders, in five steps
About fifteen minutes from signup to your first batch, and a few minutes per hundred orders after that. Here is exactly what happens at each step and what Orqis does under the hood.
- 11 minute
Create a free account
Sign up with Google or an email and password. On first login you name your brand and, optionally, give your website so the logo is picked up. That creates your workspace. No card, no invitation.
- One account gets one free brand workspace with up to three team seats.
- Agencies that need several brand workspaces are set up with us instead.
- 25 minutes, once
Connect your Shopify store
In your own Shopify admin, create a custom app with four permissions: write_orders, read_products, write_customers and read_inventory. Install it on your store and copy the Client ID and Secret. Paste them into Settings.
- Orqis exchanges the credentials for an access token itself and refreshes it forever, so you never touch a token.
- It reads back the permissions the store actually granted and shows a checklist, so a missing scope is caught before your first batch, not during it.
- Credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown again.

Sync your creator sheet
Paste a Google Sheet share link, or upload a CSV, with Creator, SKU, Phone, Address and optionally Email. Headers are matched even when they are named differently and extra columns are ignored.
- Each row's free-text SKU is fuzzy-matched to a Shopify product and variant from your live catalog.
- Each single-cell address is parsed into street, city, state, a validated PIN and a +91 phone.
- Rows that look wrong are flagged. An AI fix can rewrite broken addresses in one click.

Review and place the batch
Pick the rows, confirm any uncertain product matches, choose tags, keep the default 100% discount or set another, and press Place. A durable server-side queue creates each order directly on Shopify with the discount applied.
- A live progress bar shows placed and failed counts. Failures carry the exact Shopify error and can be retried from the results screen.
- Every order carries a reference tag, so a retry after a timeout never creates a duplicate.
- Orders are real, not drafts. They land in your Orders list ready to fulfil, on any store plan.

Fulfil as usual and keep the record
Pack and ship from Shopify the way you always do. The History tab keeps every batch, every order number and every failure, and tags make the ₹0 orders easy to separate in reports.
- Orders are placed with customer notifications off, so creators are not emailed a ₹0 invoice.
- Inventory is decremented like any other order, so stock stays honest.
What is happening under the hood
When you press Place, Orqis does not fire a hundred requests from your browser. It writes the batch to a job with one item per order, then a background worker on the server claims items one at a time, places each order on Shopify, and records the result. Your browser only polls for progress. Close the tab and the worker keeps going.
Each order is created directly with the Admin API, with the discount as a discount code and the customer and shipping address attached. No draft is created and no checkout is run, which is why it works on trial and development stores as well as paid plans. The order carries a unique reference tag before it is placed, and a retry looks that tag up first, so the same order can never be created twice.
Shopify rate limits are respected automatically: the worker backs off when Shopify asks it to and resumes, so a batch of three hundred simply takes a little longer rather than failing halfway.
Common questions at each step
How do I connect my Shopify store?+
From Settings you paste the Client ID and Secret of a custom app created in your own Shopify admin. Orqis exchanges them for an access token automatically, checks the exact permissions it needs and shows a checklist. It stays connected from then on; the credentials are encrypted and never shown again.
Which Shopify permissions does it need?+
Four: write_orders to create orders, read_products to load your catalog and variants, write_customers to attach the recipient to the order, and read_inventory so the product picker can show stock. It asks for nothing else.
What columns does my sheet need?+
Creator, SKU (a free-text product name or code), Phone, Address and optionally Email. Column order does not matter and extra columns are ignored. Both Google Sheets links and CSV uploads work, and headers are matched even when they are named differently.
What if a product name in the sheet does not match exactly?+
Free-text names like "vit c serum 30ml" are fuzzy-matched to the right product and variant. Uncertain matches are shown in the review step so you confirm or change them before anything is placed. You are never matching blind.
What happens if a run is interrupted?+
Nothing is lost or duplicated. Every order goes through a durable server-side queue that places each one exactly once. If a tab closes or a request times out, the run resumes and finishes, and a retry never places the same order twice.
How long does the first batch take?+
Most brands connect the store, sync the sheet and place a first batch within fifteen minutes of signing up. A batch of one hundred orders typically places in a few minutes with a live progress bar.
Step two in detail: how to create the Shopify custom app and get the Client ID and Secret.
